The Three Vocational Themes, by Cary Griffin and David Hammis, provides an overview of performing job development through the creation of vocational themes. Vocational themes aren’t job descriptions, but are broad themes where a client’s interests and skills come together. For example, a flower shop clerk would be a job description, but Agriculture would be a broad vocational theme that can be used to drive creative job development.
