Benefits and Work Incentives Planning and Assistance, 2014 Intensive Training

This training is only open to residents of Hawaii County and Maui County. The training will occur on Oahu, but the cost of travel and lodging will be sponsored.
This four-day intensive training bridges the gap between policy and practice by providing practical application, hands-on learning, leading-edge skills and knowledge. Completion of this training is preparation for an online certification test.
Subjects to be covered include:
- Disability Benefits
- Work Incentives Basics
- Medicaid
- Federal Housing Subsidies
- Earned Income Credit
- Effective Communication
- Ethical Considerations
- TANF/SNAP
Training will be conducted from 8:30 a.m to 5:00 p.m. each day.
Seating is limited to 20. Selection is by lottery. Travel will be sponsored. Please register by Monday, January 24, 2014. Confirmation of selection will be January 31, 2014.
